• Account information: Your email address, username, and password (stored as a secure hash). This is required to create and authenticate your account.
• User content: Reviews, ratings, tier lists, watchlist entries, power ranking votes, and battle analyses that you submit to the platform.
• Usage data: Basic information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and actions taken, used to improve the service.

We do not collect payment information. WeebRate is currently free to use.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and operate the WeebRate platform
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Display your content (reviews, tier lists, etc.) to the community
• Send you important account-related emails (e.g., password resets)
• Understand how users interact with WeebRate and improve the experience

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

WeebRate uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database storage. Your account credentials and user-generated content are stored on Supabase's secure infrastructure.
• Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to personalise ads shown to you based on your browsing history. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
• AniList API: Anime metadata is fetched from the AniList public API. When you browse anime on WeebRate, requests are made to AniList's servers. Please refer to AniList's own policies for information on how they handle data.
• Anthropic Claude AI: AI-powered anime recommendations are generated using Anthropic's Claude model. Your watchlist data is sent to Anthropic's API solely to generate your personalised recommendations and is not stored or used for any other purpose.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
